My Grandmother is 88 yrs. old. She has known and purchased TONS of flowers from the 'Waldo's' and the 'Roberts' families. She does not go out of her home much anymore, but yesterday when I was 'Grandma-sitting' her, she brought up Sandy Roberts and asked me if Sandy ever works at the floral shop anymore. I told her I would find out which days, Grandma loves nothing more than flowers from 'Waldo's!

I believe the tree I ordered (for Jeff Christensen's funeral service)  was the one with the blue/white striped ribbon in a basket.  If so, I just wanted to say it was perfect! The other families who shared in that gift were very impressed - the tree was beautiful and the finishing touches were beyond what we expected.

This letter is in reference to the phenomenal customer service I received on Sunday, November 24, 2002 from Rachel.

I called at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday to see if I could have a floral arrangement made for a memorial service that evening in Brooklyn Park. Since I knew it was such short notice, I offered to pick up the arrangement. After talking with Rachel, she said she would check to see if there was a florist available in Brooklyn Park who could do the arrangement and deliver it to the Cremation Society of MN. Rachel called me back and said that there was not a florist available to do the arrangement in Brooklyn Park. To my shock and surprise, Rachel stated Forest Lake Floral would do the arrangement AND deliver it for me by 4:00 p.m.

The arrangement that was made and delivered by Forest Lake Floral was spectacular. I cannot thank Rachel enough for getting everything set up in such a short amount of time. I have been a customer of your store for a few years now. After Sunday, I will be a customer for life!

"To care enough to send the very best." What a mission statement for the floral industry. It tells a customer exactly what to expect. That emotion coupled with the concept of future growth is what prompted Liberty to consider using plants as a token of our appreciation to our new customers.

Since 1989 every new customer has received a plant along with items needed to begin ordering Liberty products. Considering that many of our customers have multiple locations, therefore receiving more than one plant, the addition of over 2000 new customers is even more significant. We feel it has been well worth the expense.

Probably not one other single method of expressing our gratitude to our customers has brought us more compliments than the receipt of the plant. Many have even taken the time to personally thank me. It softens what otherwise might be a difficult transition period for someone changing to Liberty. Since it lives in someone's office, it is a constant reminder of our commitment.

Because of the success we've had with the "send a plant" program, I'd never consider its discontinuance. I would strongly urge any other company to try the approach and see what positive reactions it generates. I can also guarantee they will never stop sending once they start. What better way to present yourself and your company to a customer.
